Moving fragile items involves more than just packing and unpacking. To ensure the safety of  the fragile items,  you need to find a way to keep your delicate items safe. Here are some of the tools you need to use to limit the loss of fragile valuables in the course of transportation.

Moving Boxes

Electronic equipment should be packed in their original packaging. If you do not have this packaging however, you can get fitting storage boxes from a company that deals with the same. In addition, other fragile items can be packed in similar boxes to facilitate easier moving.

Bubble Wrap

Whether you are moving dishware, décor items, or crystal objects, bubble wrap is the most appropriate way to ensure their protection. This material is available in both small and large bubbles with the latter being more suitable for extra delicate goods such as glassware. Wrap the fragile items with bubble wrap and place them in a box. Fill empty spaces with more bubble wrap to limit shifting while on transit.

Packing Tape

Your breakables need to be held securely from the time you pack them to the moment they get to your new home. For this reason, you have to seal the boxes with packing tape.

Labels

Labeling what is in each box is extremely important. It not only makes it easier to differentiate the fragile items from the non-fragile items, but also helps the movers know which side should face up.

Moving Blankets

Many people don’t like to rent or buy moving blankets. Some claim that they are a waste of money. Well, it all depends on what you have. If you have a glass coffee table, the moving blankets will come in handy. All you have to do is wrap the coffee table with a blanket to prevent it from breaking while on transit. In addition to that, moving blankets can be used to protect other items from dust.

Moving Straps

Moving traps are used for moving fragile items such as huge flat screen TVs, or anything else that requires 2 or more people to move. They also prevent back strains especially for those folks who are significantly older.
